June 2014 – Heavyweight Update

Carlos Takam, an obscure heavyweight prior to 2013, crashes the rankings with an upset victory over perennial contender Tony Thompson (5). Thompson drops out but could easily be back soon given his “fight anyone, anywhere” mentality. New WBC champ Bermane Stiverne (6) also got a bump after notching another victory against a “no-more-excuses” version of Chris Arreola.

Things should shake up even more after a huge July 26 (for the heavyweight division).
